STRENGTHENINIG OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS

The numerous civil society organizations of the region that work towards the promotion and protection of human rights are strategic and essential partners of OHCHR/BRAO. This partnership has led to training sessions, awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns; in particular for the ratification of international human rights instruments.

West African Network des INDH

The Office has contributed to the creation of the West African Network of National Human Rights Institutions (NNHRI) by providing technical expertise and financial support to its secretariat, as well as launching a regional capacity-strengthening workshop. This initiative funded by OSIWA, was carried out with the participation of the different OHCHR in the countries concerned.
