The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights West Africa Regional Office (OHCHR/BRAO) offers the possibility to candidates currently enrolled on or having obtained a post-graduate qualification to undertake an unpaid internship in its office located in Dakar.

Individuals wishing to carry out an internship at OHCHR/BRAO can apply by sending an application via the application form.

THE UNITED NATIONS VOLUNTARY FUND FOR VICTIMS OF TORTURE

The United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture was created by Resolution 36/151 of the General Assembly on 16 December 1981 to receive voluntary contributions from governments, organizations and individuals. The Fund gives financial aid to non-governmental organizations that offer humanitarian, psychological, medical, social, legal and economic assistance to victims of torture and to members of their families. Grant applications should concern projects whose objective is to give medical, psychological, social, economic, legal, humanitarian or other assistance to victims of torture and to members of their families. Subject to the availability of funds, a limited number of grants can be awarded to projects for the training of professionals or the organization of conferences or seminars with a specific focus on treatment of victims of torture.
